Organised by our Directorate, the Academic Leadership Programme, entitled ‘Strategic Leadership and Organisational Execution Capacity’ and aimed at academics holding administrative roles at our university, took place on 16–17 September 2026.
Held over two days as face-to-face sessions in the Şaban Teoman Duralı Conference Hall, the programme began with an opening address by our Rector, Prof. Dr Atilla Arkan, who emphasised the importance of academic leadership for universities.
Going beyond a conventional leadership training programme, this two-session programme—designed as an interactive senior management workshop in line with our University’s strategic objectives for the 2026–2029 period and the current administrative agenda—addressed critical focus areas such as strategic agility, internal communication, effective delegation and driving decisions to fruition.
The Academic Leadership Programme, which aims to strengthen our University’s managerial competencies and inter-departmental coordination, concluded with the hope that steps towards organisational development will be pursued with determination.
