Ibn Haldun University, which aims to strengthen its disaster response capacity as a socially responsible institution in addition to its academic and intellectual mission, has taken another significant step toward realizing this vision.
The certificate presentation ceremony for the “Support AFAD Volunteer” training program, successfully completed under the leadership of our Human Resources Directorate, was held on Tuesday, June 9. Our academic and administrative staff, as well as our students, who successfully completed the rigorous training process, received their certificates at the ceremony.
This meaningful program, which aims to make disaster awareness an integral part of campus culture, also laid a strategic foundation for the formation of the “Ibn Khaldun University Search and Rescue Team” (İHAK), which is planned to be established within our university. The ceremony concluded with the volunteers—who will form the future search and rescue team—receiving their certificates and a group photo session.
