The department of Psychology at Ibn Haldun University invites applications for academic positions in the following areas of psychology.

·       Clinical Psychology

·       Cognitive Psychology

·       Developmental Psychology

·       Social Psychology

·       Neuroscience/Biological Psychology

Position Description: This is a full-time academic position in the abovementioned areas of psychology. The salaries are higher than the average. The laboratories and offices will be located in the main campus. The department of psychology is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse workforce. Basic Qualifications: PhD degree in Psychology or related fields by the appointment date

Additional Qualifications: For Clinical track:

·       The applicant must have experience in academic and clinical settings.

·       The candidates are expected to provide clinical supervision to graduate students

·       They must be willing to offer mandatory courses in clinical practice and theory both for undergraduate and graduate level.

·       Due to need for a clinical supervisor, the priority will be given to those who speak Turkish as their native language or in a native-like level.

·       The applicants are expected to be sensitive to and have a good understanding of the sociocultural context.

For Social, Developmental and Cognitive tracks:

·       The applicants must show excellence in teaching and research.

·       They should have an active, ongoing research agenda and be willing to include graduate and undergraduate students in their labs.

·       Proficiency in statistics, experimental psychology, psychometrics, and research methods is a strong asset.

For all tracks:

·       The applicants must be willing to contribute to departmental and administrative chores.

·       The curriculum is in English and the typical course load is 2-3 courses per semester.

·       The candidates must be willing to supervise both Master’s and Ph.D. level research. 

·        All candidates are expected to work efficiently in a collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives.
